Wiper problems .... again

Hi all,

I know there are many comments on wiper electrics BUT can't find anything specific so any help on the below would be much appreciated.

Issue is:

Wiper has been bench tested with normal, fast and park switch all working.
New steering stalk fitted.

When motor installed the following happens.

1. Normal speed: Operates but no park
2. Fast speed: Nothing happens and blows fuse.
3. Intermittent works fine and parks on each sweep as required.

Racking my brains on this one. Any help/pointers would be much appreciated

Sounds as if either park or stalk switch is shorting.
Motor brushes are powered via park switch.

Thanks. It's a new stalk which I put on thinking the old one was shorting. However no change so I do not think its there.

The bench test powers both normal and fast through the park switch and the motor turns as required. The park switch also works on the bench.
