Anyone had a rattle like mine?

Hi- I sometimes (but not always) get a ‘tinny’ rattle when I’m changing gear, more often when shifting down. It sounds like something lose and seems like it’s coming from within the dash or heater area but may be into the engine bay. I’ve has a pull on everything obvious in the cockpit and had a pull on the exhaust etc. but nothing obvious.
Anyone had similar or got any ideas please?

Is it a rattle or more like celophane being crunched up?

If that light crunch sound then I would look at the propshaft UJ's.

Thanks for the reply Alan. More rattle. Like something is loose and is rattling with vibration on gear change except whatever the something is it is is not obviously apparent.

Some years ago I had a similar rattle, which turned out to be the handbrake cable being a little too slack, and occasionally touched the propshaft.

I had similar, was the air vent plate for car / screen.
Resonated when fully down to car (against tunnel), solution move up to car & screen position. Not worth pursuing any permenant solution.

Thanks Neil. I take it you’re referring to the flap at the bottom of the heater and you basically moved the air outlet settings so the flap was higher.

I also had the heater flap rattle , now I keep it off the tunnel by just raising the control lever up a little

I've got a rattle at very low revs, just when pulling away and stopping, but not when car is stationary, which makes me think its the handbrake cable suggestion!
