Bracket for kick down cable (zf hp22)

The kick down cable looks 'baggy' to me and doesn't work.
The transmission shop that installed the zf kit (Monarchs) set it up for the Weber carb. I've since gone back to refurbished Strommies.

I can't seem to find the part number for the circled bracket which is off the Weber, it's a bit too long pulling the cable out of line. I don't see a spare bracket on my old set of federal Strommies for the BW35 cable.
Is there such a bracket available, if so, who sells them?

If not available I'll try to make a new one or adjust this one, but I'm 'between houses' and don't have all tools available

on my Bw35 Stag. it's welded to the main bracket. and it's quite meaty in strength

The picture of the part circled is made by Tate & Lewis.
I think it’ll be best to make your own.
The arrangement on the zf4 does allow for lots of lost motion …. Only seems to operate the cable after 50% throttle

Have you tried slackening that bracket, removing the cable, then refitting the bracket upside down? That would move the adjustment locknut at least an inch downwards, removing some of the slack.

Yes, that was my next plan, once the line up had improved. Thanks, always good to know I'm on the right path!

I looked at some old photos of the shipped kit, and there is indeed a bracket dangling off the kick down cable that I missed seeing!
