Without delving into the safety issues of drinking fluids while driving, do members have some good, safe and secure means of holding a coffee mug in the car, suitable for a can or for e.g a Costa mug or a keep hot reusable mug? Thanks

I remade the parcel shelf using plywood, making it stronger, adding a two slot USB port and a twin retractable cup holder from a VW Golf. 8FEAFB9C-6F42-4AA0-9D9C-EC9CE0806AA9.jpeg CFC27F1D-5772-4A65-A874-C8CF1111AA59.jpegDave

I bought these cup holders from a Saab garage (back when there were Saab dealerships), and riveted them to the door cards. Who says I can't hold my beer??

This is what I did, I made a custom centre console with cup holders, mobile phone holders and added electric seat warming switches as well. There are plenty of options to add cup holders to standard setup, find a spot to suit with the fold up type cup holders.

I have a similar setup as Sukhi, in the stag it wedges between the passenger seat base and the trans tunnel. not idealStags and Range Rover Classics - I must be a loony

Some great ideas here and Rumbo wins for me, but my solution might be worth consideration.
Around 14 years ago I met a beautiful girl with a great sense of humour and a tolerant nature. We hit it off, started dating, fell in love - quite possibly not in that order - and after three years we got married. We were poor back then and my wedding car was an MX5.
She promised me that we could have a dog, and I promised her that if we could keep a dog alive we would eventually have children. It turned out to be a trick and one day, while I was distracted thinking about what dog I’d like, she got pregnant. It was a dastardly ruse and, being catholic, to this day I have no idea how it happened.
I went along with it though, for the paternity leave mainly, and we had our wonderful daughter, Florence. Later, still way before I was allowed a dog, we had another human - Ivy.
I won’t deny that, since those heady days, there’s been a fair amount of nurturing, cost, stress and selflessness. But we’re through it now and Florence and Ivy are 9 and 6 respectively. We sold the MX5 for a Stag and we have a dog called Pebbles.
Florence holds the hot drinks; Ivy the cold ones.
Don’t rule it out. That’s all I’m saying.
