Dash warning light cluster...

Hi, I have a Fed Mk 1.5 car. This has i believe a Mk1 warning cluster. This means that the brake failure is connected in series and is dim. I have seen the wiring diagram posted on here a few years ago on how to reroute and cut some cables to get full light power.. I, hoping that this change could be done in a Mk2 cluster. Do they have a different part No. ?
Anyone have a picture of the bord inside a Mk2 cluster so i can compare them.

I have a feeling that the very early Mk1s had a different cluster. They have a space for temp. and a single light for the indicators. However, Mk2 clusters have a chrome or black center and the Mk1's have it the other way. or something like that, but the cluster config looks the same. Why not leave it the way you have it?

The brake warming and the oil warning lights are in series and are not very bright. There is a simple fix by cutting a wire or two to make the single. I wasnt sure if the RoW boards are
different.

There are a couple of different back boards although the lights are in the same position. They are not interchangeable, yes I've tried!

Yea l thought so. im guessing that the white + wire printed board goes to other lights.

you could modify your own cluster without cutting any wires in the loom. I've done it on a MK2 to achieve the same change. To return to original I have another identical type cluster or I could unmodify the cluster. I could send you details if you want
