......I am going on the idea that Triumph decided not to put the water into the track but make it run off the outer side of the seal down the side/back?...Dave
They probably left the water capture areas with outlet stub and plastic tube exiting underneath the body in case someone in the future decided to fit the wrong type of seal.
(only jesting, lads. Don't take me seriously - my wife doesn't)
Just fitted the one with the square section and flap. Replaced what looks like an original item. Fitted great. Didn't seem to need glue or am I missing something?

Tim. Who knows? I spread some glue around the bottom of the gutter just to hold the seal in place, and to ensure that water didn't collect in there.

I bought the square profile but it was much too loose a fit the correct way and too tight any other way. I suspect it wasnt exactly the right size. I later noticed my friends car has a similar profile to that which Drew showed, and was fitted by Wards, and as I already had some SRS071 I used that. It fitted snugly without the need for any glue.
