The only thing I have found from the SOC is on the News/Events page of the club website, but you have to scroll down a long way to find it https://www.stag.org.uk/news-events/Dave

That's stirred it up !
There's a kerfuffle on the TR Register forum with many objections to the cancellation. Apparently ticket sales were 70% down on the anticipated numbers needed and compared to the time to event last year. The joint event with MG and TSSC meant all the member clubs needed to be comfortable with the likelihood of considerable financial losses...not all were, or could accept a badly attended event. This could be the turning point for many clubs holding large and expensive shows, the financial outlook for millions of people in these next 18 - 24 months could be very uncertain with heating a house or even buying food etc and where you spend any finances...just a re-examining of what's important.
Information as received on the TR Register. https://triumphandmgweekend.com/

It’s a real shame this event has been cancelled, I’ve attended in my Stag for many years and always been made to feel very welcome.
In the past a lot of people have attended from abroad with their cars so I’m guessing the rising cost of fuel and the ferry issues have contributed to some of them not bothering to attend.
As I said it’s a real shame as it always been a well organised but laid back event with a good mix of cars in attendance, let’s hope it happens next yearsigpic

I was really looking forward to this as it’s only 15 minutes from home. The plan was to enter my Stag in the 8 cylinder class of the autosolo as I seem to have frightened all the TR7 guys away with my Stag engined TR250🙁
Of course if someone was quicker I would just have nipped home for the TR😂😂Neil

From Tony Lapworth -SOC Chair
After spending some time trying to find a suitable alternative venue close to Stafford (the cancelled Triumph/MG weekend’s venue), we have concluded that given the short notice, it will be impossible to achieve, therefore;-
We have arranged with the British Motor Museum at Gaydon to hold a 'come and park up day' as our National Day!
on SUNDAY 21st AUGUST 2022 (10am – 5pm).
There will be special entrance rates to the Museum of 10/head if you want to visit the Museum and cafe.
NOTE - The club will provide a voucher to the value of 10 per driver for entry to the museum handed out on the day on production of your membership card.
Club Accessories will be attending.
Check the SOC website Members’ Area regularly for further/final details etc.
Regards
