    Tachometer

I got a tacho from a Spitfire, I don't have it handy, and am not sure if it's an RVI or RVC type. In any case, can they be converted from the 4-cly type to an 8-cly type?

You could just halve the indicated rpm

    theres some info on mgbexperience.com
which I found with a Google search. Resistors needed - looks complicated.

However, why would you bother? They’re not exactly expensive. I’ve got a few sitting around.

Curious mainly. But seems like it can be done relatively easily.

I have recalibrated a 6 cyl tach to 8 cyl, which was quite easy.
