    Spax adjustable front dampers

    Evening all,
I'm currently trying to work out the fitting of new Spax adjustable front dampers. The dampers come with a very short gaiter and white plastic sleeve on the chrome inner strut/piston. I have correct length gaiters to fit but the instructions from Spax don't really mention the short gaiters and white plastic sleeves. I emailed the suppliers and they have said I am okay to remove the short gaiter and white plastic and just fit the proper length gaiter. There is also a black plastic disc on the piston and I think the Spax instructions are referring to this as a 'black plastic bump stop plate' and say it must be fitted below the bump stop. I can't seem to find any reference to bump stops on the struts or in any manuals so am I missing some information here? Has anyone fitted these and if so can you offer some guidance? Many thanks in advance. Andy

I didn't understand those short gaiters. I ditched them and found some generic ones for the front structs off a motor cycle. They cover to whole tube.

Thanks Sujit, that fits with the advice from the supplier. Any idea about the black plastic damper stop plate? This is just a small disc on the piston- photo attached.

I didn't know what that was for so I left it off.

Think it was a bump stop.
