Not too difficult to resilver the old ones using paint or reflective tape. So not worth all the hassle of remaking them.

PS: Hood frame front cross members often rot badly or stress crack. A remake of these would save a lot of frames from the scrapper.

      Interesting…
Ditch reflectors; do a frame pressing then.

I'd still be interested to see a worked-up proposal on reflectors - perhaps 50 or 100 off ? I don't have touch-points with relevant technologies or manufacturers, but I wonder what the options are nowadays for low-volumes of this type of part?

This is off topic, but I've had a quick look in my records. SOCTFL made speculative enquiries about header rails with two manufacturers in 2002 and 2013. Neither came back with a definite proposal and it wasn't pursued at the time, perhaps because there was a consensus that still seemed to be just enough serviceable used hood frames in circulation. However, the situation has changed - from my own experience usable hood frames are less readily available and are expensive. I think it would be worth SOCTFL taking another look, there does now seem to be enough demand to justify the effort.

Anyhow, there's a couple of candidates for a discussion on future projects at the SOCTFL AGM next week.

Would that Hood frame front cross member, be strong enough if made in fiberglass ?

Pesonally I don't believe so, but others will be able to give a more qualified opinion - don't take too much notice of me

I think there were fibreglass ones on sale for a while, but they were nothing like strong enough, and soon failed. It would have to be steel.

Not unless it was internally reinforced. I had a design concept of a steel inner part which would run end to end and also support the handle fixings, then the fibreglass moulded over the top to get the required shape. If this worked the tooling would probably be much cheaper than for an original type pressed steel part. But they both need to be costed for tooling and manufacture.
