softtop handles

Someone was making a plate for the softop handles. Are they still available? The handle is fine, but the base it attaches to has snapped down the middle.

I think one of the "Major Suppliers" may be looking in to having them made again. Expensive tooling will be required for the castings.

The vast majority of faults are broken base plates, the lever and pin etc are usually serviceable and reusable. I had some base plates laser cut in stainless, with countersunk screw holes. It's not rocket science!

I did the dxf for the bases. ( A few months ago)
I sent it for a laser cut quote.
No replies received yet.


If you fix them yourself, be sure to record the angle between the pin & handle before disassembly…. So they are welded back together in that position.
