Is it me or have other members experienced this. You order goods from suppliers and all you get is rubbish and when you chase up the problem you get no reply or get fobbed off. I replaced my steering rack done 100 miles and it leaked, so got on to the supplier and he repaired it carriage at my cost, fair enough. £ 53 to have it re tracked .Than fitted the new one ,not even 50 miles it leaked. So what do you do? got in contact with the supplier told him the problem and guess what didn't want to know told me it was my fault, waste of time. Just goes to prove that, A ,never never go by reviews on there web site and B never go for the cheapest. Ordered a time clock from a supplier, sent it straight away no problem have dealt with them before, but it was the wrong one, sent an email and get a replay 4 days later, saying will have some in a weeks time. Fair enough. A email was sent a week later and told that it will be another week. So after another week i sent another e maim and guess what ? no answer. It Just makes me mad the rubbish that you have to put up with just to try and enjoy a past time with a triumph stag. Sorry for the rant.

It's one of the short comings of the club, where you have to seem to have learn and experience of the extra cost of finding out where to buy your parts from, then that is still sometimes a problem, I have had a pair of SOCTFL quarter light rubbers from a bad batch , yes they where replaced after some email ping pong, but not the carriage, all supplies seem to forget that it costs to return them!. and the cost of redoing the job. When I enquired about these at another supplier they had the same stock , so seems like a recall did not happen?. I would tell all members, as has been said, to ask here first, could save you a lot of heart ache and money.
The situation all round is a very poor affair
These where the temp compensator seals I was sent , told best available

Maybe it sat on a shelf for 40 years, therefore those seals and rubbers are also 40 years old.
There is another theory about New old stock that I have. Not unheard of for a faulty batch to be released, yeah I know even the 1970s had issues. Manufacturer asked for the batch to be binned but it ends up in the cellar. Roll forwards 40 years to the Great Tutankhamun find of the century and guess what? them parts is still faulty.

The answer isn't 42, it's 1/137
