Been a lot of debate about the merits and ‘price ask’ for a Stag listed on ebay right now. Imagine if you will that Stag’s are available today, new from a production line today (a car that looks and drives just like our Stag’s…without complicating the question by analysing technology changes) - what do you think a 2022 model might retail at on today’s new car market?

Easy answer… the Range Rover was a similar priced vehicle in the 1970s… so about the same price as a Range Rover now
I don’t mean an evoke.
A full fat Range Rover is £100-£180 k
Its slightly complicated though… or not?
Apparently Range Rovers are likely to break down … so you need to buy 2, or have alternative transport…. Nothing changed!
Last time I checked, my stag cost £36k over 33 years … needs updating.
Every mile was a smile… but some repairs have tested patience!
They are all money pits… maybe not as bad as a modern car though.
Latest expense was for front & rear bumper parts rechromed … just blades @ £750 ( not overiders, plinths or corners)
Bought both items from sellers, not chrome shops.
A tank of fuel might be that soonLast edited by jbuckl; 31 August 2022, 00:21.
