Remember the Distributor pinion that fell off..?.well I gave up and went to the Manx GP in my Wifes Mini sans Motorcycle..much pouting. just returned, fitted Distributor as advised set the Rotor carefully arranged the plug leads in the correct order, the car fired instantly, set the ignition timing.12 degrees or so and it.ticked over like a bloodhound lapping milk and revved well. turned it off came back to it 2 minutes later..reluctant starter..the hotter it gets the more unlikely it is to start and now absolutely nothing

Refresh us with the details (saves me searching and rereading your earlier posts.) What Ignition systems do have have?
i.e.
Original ballasted coil or not?
Electronic ignition or points?
If Electronic what type? module in distributor or external with pick up in distributor?
When you say absolutely nothing, have you checked for a spark? if so was it a nice "fat spark" or just a weak, yellowy feeble one? (take off a lead and use an old spark plug, or whip a spark plug out to see)
Is the battery fully charged?
What is the voltage across the battery when cranking? (measured directly at the terminals)
What is the voltage on the inertia switch when cranking? should be similar to that measured across the battery terminals when cranking, ( useful check to see if you have large voltage drops in the wiring potentially causing a weak spark - not usually a problem with a ballasted coil).
Now Stagless but have numerous car projects
So many cars, so little time!
