I keep mine in a Carcoon Veloce. I've sealed the air intake fans with plastic bags and keep the fans disconnected so that the Carcoon can't inflate. Then put a dessicant type dehumidifier in the Carcoon set at 45% RH. And a 12" fan blowing at low setting under the car from rear to front, so that keeps the air moving. The garage is integral and fully insulated, also the dehumidifier puts out a bit of heat. The dehumidifier is plumbed with a drain to outside. This way, pretty much the whole of the dehumidified air is kept inside the carcoon until it is unzipped to remove the car.

Storage of Stag in WInter

I woke my Stag up from its 5-month nap, decided to have a couple of minor adjustments made, so headed into my local garage as we now live in a Condo and park Stag in an underground garage. Arrived at the local mechanic and saw a Lotus Élan that had been flat bedded. In a couple of weeks ago. The cause was, critters managed to sneak into the car and chewed through the complete wiring harness. There are no replacement harnesses available, as a result, the mechanics have to re-wire the car completely. Manually.
I always place three mothballs in the interior of my car for the winter storage months to prevent that possibility.

Mothballs don’t deter mice or other rodents I’m afraid Robin, that’s an old wive’s tale. 3 or 4 traps with a little Nutella or similar is guaranteed to work if you have mice. You clearly haven’t had anyPaul - 3 projects, 1 breaker - garage built and housing 2 white Stags. One runs, one doesn't

There’s a fascinating utube channel on mouse repellants, “mousetrap Monday” the guy puts boxes of food out in his barn and films it all night, tries all the common repellents, soap, dryer sheets the lot.. the only thing that seemed to work was peppermint oil..
