How to straighten this soft-top frame bar?

I'm having difficulty trying to straighten this soft-top frame bar. Using a hammer does not work well enough. I have a press, but it does really work either. Should I try heat from a propane torch to heat it and then hit it with a hammer? The bar on the left is one of the worst ones, but they are all bent to some degree.
Sorry added photo. These are the short bars which go over each door.

    A picture would be .....

Heating is not a good idea as it will probably soften the bar. If it is a flat bar, lay it on the flat part of an anvil or heavy vice with the bend at the top, then hammer it on the bent parts and it will bend back / straighten. You will need a heavy hammer though.
