Going on from the Carb rebuild thread, has anyone use these kits attached below

Not so sure the yellow passivate would look great on the carbs, but that's just my opinion. Perfect for the linkage, but not the carbs.

That's what I was thinking about it for, sorry did not explain myself properly, have you used one?

I get all the metalwork in the engine bay (brackets, bonnet catch carb linkage etc ) cadmium plated it is not expensive and the finish is as factory will upload pictures on Monday to show you.

Years ago , before 9/11 & all that, you could order the salts (chemicals) from a chemists. I did that.
The parts have to be exceptionally clean & ideally burr-free.
The solution needs to be at 40-odd degrees.
The results were good but the effort high.
I found a platers that could do zinc & clear passivate or zinc & yellow passivate.
The low cost far outweighed the faff of doing it yourself.
a complete set of ferrous parts from a carb cost £10. Two sets was £15.

Nice Tony, I assume you had to strip every piece apart or are they plated as it is taken off the car?

Plated as taken off the car didn’t even clean or remove old paint turn around is about 3-4 days
