hi, can any one help me im trying to wire up my car radio 1970,s motorola 114 i,ve connected live

wire, set came on wired speakers arial, no sound there,s an eath cable attached to a screw on the back of the set do i need to eath this for sound to work anyone any ideas thank you :?

I think the Motorola 114 has a polarity switch on the back. Check this is switched to negative earth or similar.

Mark,

Always fit an earth lead when installing a radio. Otherwise, you'll be earthing the set through the screening of the aerial lead. This may work, sometimes, but is often the source of intermittent noises.
