I'm looking to get my speedo, tacho etc refurbished as the paint has come off some of the instruments. Anyone know a place to get this done apart from The Guage shop?

I used Speedy Cables near Swansea. Really pleased with their service (also converted my speedo to electronic).
Speedy Cables manufacture, service, repair and calibrate classic instruments and gauges worldwide. Including speedometers, tachometers, ammeters, fuel gauges, oil pressure gauges, clocks and all types of mechanical cables.

when I was getting my zf4 together I had my speedometer refurbished by Alan. What a great job he carried out I even sent the speedometer away to Ian at Monachorum stags when he name a box of tricks for a electrical to mechanical to drive the speedometer.
Ian told me it was the most accurate and smoothest he had come across.

For all those SOC members who live on the other side of the Atlantic, I would highly recommend ; https://www.nisonger.com/instrument-rebuilding.htm.
They have been Smith instrument rebuilders since 1946.
My Stag is a Federal model Mk2 and fitted with electronic ignition. I had my tachometer rebuilt x2 in the UK as it was not working, I sent it and then all of my other instruments to;
https://www.nisonger.com/instrument-rebuilding.htm, as they immediately knew what the problem was [Smiths Tachs do not work with electronic ignition ] and added a fix to the inside of my tachometer. If you go to their site, you can read WHY and about their fix. All their repairs come with a warranty.
