    Noisy PCV Valve

My PCV Valve is in good condition and doing it's job well but occasionally becomes very noisy, buzzing and chirping mainly on tick-over.

Is this a normal state, and are there any other PCV's that could be fit and would be quieter?

    Any help appreciated.

Inlet vacuum is highest at tickover / overrun, so the PCV will be "working" hardest then. For the cost of them probably worth swapping out with a new one and see what happens. What valve do you have, anyway? Assume you have non std carbs as there is no PCV in the OE setup?
Header tanks - you can't beat a bit of bling.

I have the Stagweber Active Breather System. It is in excellent shape and I am happy with the vacuum I get with the Weber Carb.

The PCV is an new. I have not tried to rinse it out with petrol yet.

Sounds like your valve could be faulty , as said above they are cheap to replace, I had a Holley set up for 25 years or so , I found they used to get noisy in terms of clicking at tickover , it never chirped though , I believe I used a pcv 184 valve , which was one of the reasons I reverted back to strombergs . Cheers Graham, I will start with a new one and see what happens.
