A fully flat battery will sulphate and will struggle to ever be reliable. Buy a new one and a quick disconnect fitting to isolate the battery when in the garage. You could invest in a solar panel charging system if the garage is “safe” to leave something outside (screwed to Dacia/on the roof) and receives sunlight during the day.

Godd luck, Dieter from Germany.
The size I chose would not fit with one, I found a battery without and it just makes it. The Duracell does not fit, The Exide will... Both are Group 24 size.

Worth a try but the battery sounds like it's dead I used to work on battery power cherry pickers sometimes you can recover a battery by equalising them. You will need a good battery and your one off the car. Connect them pos to pos and neg to neg. Leave them for 2 or 3 days check your old battery with a volt meter after disconnecting it. If it holds a voltage then try charging it on a long slow charge. A fast charge will buckle the plates. Otherwise when you fit a new one consider a solar powered charger if there is no mains power in the garage.

She's back in the dry garage for Winter with a full tank and tyre pressures topped up.
Guessing it needs a new battery. Scouring the forums tells me I need an 072?
I won't be driving it anyway for a few months so thinking I just worry about this in the Spring and get a new battery then... unless any advice to contrary?

As for battery, I went with a Optima Red Top. plenty of power and it's small.

Whichever battery you go for, be careful not to buy a T-top, as these can be difficult to secure with the battery strap. You need a flat-top.

Just realised mine has opposite +ve/-ve terminals to the two recommended so going to stick a straight swap for what was in the before, on the logic that what comes out must go back in again!
Looks a little less powerful than the recommendations but if it 'aint broke don't fix it?! (even though it is broke)
