Tonneau cover finishing strips

Trying to fit these last strips which clip over the rivets... I had read that they could be a challenge, but..... I'm finding that efforts to clip them on are deforming the underside of the strip in some cases.

Does anybody have any tricks or suggestions for getting them on? One side I have all clipped on with the exception of the one at the apex of the corner - however I had read a post on Facebook which suggested it best to get this one on first

I've fitted these a few times now . If you slightly pinch the riveted on mushroom top hat you can adjust its tollerance. You can be super fussy and measure this with a vernier caliper to ensure all are the same level of grab. Edd

I've had trouble with the riveted mushroom top hats being the wrong size, try and reuse the original ones

Finally got things back together - I had to walk away from it a number of times and come back with fresh eyes (and a fresh attitude!). Thanks for the suggestions

I need to do this as well, the cover I installed 3 or so years ago faded badly.. I’m awaiting the warmer weather (putting it off!)
