I looked at them and bought this:
Tilting Car Scissor Lift Up 1.5T Tonne - shop online today for better performance with interest free finance and 5* customer service.
It’s absolutely fabulous - really easy to use and I can work on any part of the car with ease. I even took the engine and gearbox out using my one. They’re a lot less expensive too.Richard

I guess it depends on cost as most things do but these don't seem cheap. I bought a scissor lift 7 years ago. Due to restricted height in the garage (since solved) I was limited to 1m lift height. I haven't looked back. It has allowed me to continue with fettling which would have been very difficult due to advancing years. I went for a Strongman Clifton although cheaper options were available. I nearly bought from Automec, who impressed me. I have full under the centre access with no ram in the way. The Stag is on it as we speak, but it can handle much bigger cars, as per the pic.

I went for a set of these a few years back, A little more expensive but quite flexible in the options that could be used for.
Our heavy duty hydraulic car ramps 1350kg capacity have a low drive on height of 5" making them ideal for cars with lowered suspensions
The only issue that I have with them is that they only have one lock off point at full height.
Storage when not in use is a major plus point though.

Hi everybody, thanks for your input on this it very much appreciated, the QuickJack is in offer at Costco for £1049 at present which is why l raised the subject although l would have preferred the updated version with 3" extra lift height, is there caution required when lifting or are you avoiding lifting on sill seams?

I recommend purchasing the rubber lifting blocks as well. They have a slot molded to accommodate the pinch weld on the sills, you can place them under the factory lift points, and they provide clearance for the rear subframe "bean can" mounts. They also give a few inches extra lift.

Quickjack is a great syatem and I have used it for a number of years with my car. I bought extra rubbers and machined them to fit the jacking points of my car. The safty sustem is really simple but effective. On tye negative side they do block access from either side of the car when in use, all access must be from the front or rear.. The headroom when fully extended is sufficient for all jobs I have done e.g. eghausts, half shafts replacement etc. They are expensive but well made. Mine is the 12v system which runs off the car battery without issue. The units are very heavy. I can just life each part myself. They do have wheels which is great for smooth services but I have a gravel drive so they have to be lifted into position. The other issue is storage. I initially thought to leave them under the car and just drive in out over the lifts. This did not work for me due to the hight when fully down. However I would definetly recommend the product and would buy it again
