Thanks Ian for your eagle eyes last night! I contacted my insurance this morning and they said that although I havethepr**** name, tel. number and place of work, I need his insurance company or his reg. number so they can track it down. As you would expect he's not answering his mobile. I think my best bet is to use the landlord of the Blacksmith's to get the reg. no. An alternative is to report it to the police as a "failure to stop after an accident", especially as you told him to his face he had just bashed into my car before he drove off in a hurry.

Dave, i'm only sorry i did not get his reg number - hindsight is a wonderful thing but i now wish i had reached in a taken his car keys.

As you are close it may be worth having a drive up there today / friday to see if his van is parked there and take the reg yourself. Martinwill be able to help to track his address from the reg number. I will give a full written statement just as soon as you need it.

I'll be honest Dave, I would have done that last night - got Martin to call a car down, get the blokes details from our very cagey landlord, and given him an official visit with a breathalyser straight away.

Maybe Graham or someone close could make a couple of calls to the pub car park and get the Escort vans reg number.

I hate people that do that, and for the landlord to cover up for him I think is dispicable, and on that basis may not take my Stag down there again (or even boycott the pub and form a splinter group)

Russ, i have already come to this conclusion, the car park is too small and now we have tossers working there that hit the cars and landlords who cover up. i will not be going back to the Blacksmiths again however great Katies tits are.

we now need to come up with a viable alternative for the PFJ, maybe that pub on top of the hill that was closed during the snow?

You mean the Botley Hill Farmhouse? Yes that has a nice large car park, decent beer (admittedly no Harveys last time I went there) and has no TV or juke box or tossers on bikes.....

In other words, almost (Harveys excepted) ideal.....

its not good for the landlord to do that as he dont give a t--s for his customers, and i thought he liked all the cars being there each month, i would of had the driver done for D&D last night if it was me.
