Dismantling window motor

I'm going to dismantle a spare window motor and arm. When I go to separate the motor form the arm, I'm expecting the arm to swing into my face from the coil spring. I'm under the impression that the spring is there to assist the window going up. I'm planning to remove the spring and let is sit in fuel. Does anyone have any idea when the window is up, how much load is on the spring if at all?

It’s not important to know the spring force.
However the manual warns you about danger of injury.
I found it good to have a helper. (Between you and the spring )
Imho the spring coils cannot be effectively lubricated unless it’s removed.
Lubrication does really help with slow windows.
No 1 reason I found (anicdotally) was tight / incorrect flock channels.

I did separate an arm from the motor. The tension on the spring is about 3/4 of a full circle. The arm, has two part numbers on it. It not symmetrical, but seems it can fit either side. The motor is handed.
