    Wiper cable park problem

This thing on the end of the cable of the wiper wire is moving. It seems that it was peened on at the end. I need to stop it moving. Before I go out and buy some silver solder and MAP gas, will I be able to tack it on? My wipers don't park as it doesn't remain in the slot of the plastic slider. New cables got more than 45 quid.

If it's any help in making your decision, I bought a new cable - must be 10 years ago now - and that "thing" was so badly crafted that I ended up using the old original cable.
    The answer isn't 42, it's 1/137

I would always try and fix used old stock with stuff like this than go for new.

Far too much Chinesium out there. For instance; Throttle cables that break within a week of installation on the carb'd Range Rover v8. one broke the first time the pedal was pressed

Bearmach came up with a UK made alternative at twice the price that worked beautifully. I bought 5 and only have one left

Bearmach went broke a few months ago and nobody else has picked up their supply chain, Britpart bought all remaining stock and the trading name. Great now they almost have a monopoly on Land Rover parts for the stuff I work one.

I bought another cable and installed it last week - guess what?
Stags and Range Rover Classics - I must be a loony
