    Engine Origins

I have a different engine to my original. Where can I find where my engine came from?

Send a message to Peter Robinson, Club Registrar. He may have some idea.

If it has an ESS suffix that would signify that it had a factory swap at some point. Otherwise it might be an email to Peter or British Motor Heritage
Paul - 3 projects, 1 breaker - garage built and housing 2 white Stags. One runs, one doesn't

        Mines the same.
Started with LF1424HE but now has LF29608HE - so a Mk1 now with domed pistons, but still using the twin horned air filter.

Lol I went the other way, Mk1 engine in Mk2 car.

I guess you can guestimate from the engine numbers of other cars, (is there a UK registry?) they didn't put them in in sequence but it will give you a rough idea.
