SOCrates Hand over Worcester to South Birmingham

SOCrates is being handed over from the Worcs Area to the S Birmingham area on Thursday evening Thursday 22nd April at The Stone Manor Hotel Car Park, Bromsgrove Road, Stone, Nr. Kidderminster,DY10 4PJ at 7.00pm.

Plan is to meet and hand over, hopefully a photoshootand then travel to Chaddesley Corbett for adrink or meal (whatever preferred)in one or other of the local hostelries.

I believe the more the merrier - so if you have a Stag, its mobile and you want to join us - why not come along?

This may be the wrong thing to say , and please don't take it as a criticism but when the regional time frame was being organised was the person doing it not in possession of a map . The reason for saying this is the Eastern region hand over to the midland region ,I would have thought it would have been more sensible for them to hand over to the north eastern region, the reason I say this is because the way it is the Manchester region now have to collect SOCrates from Scotland and deliver him to Bristol ,Quite a journey ,but if Eastern region had passed it (sorry him )to north eastern region we in turn could have passed SOCrates to the Midlands region (are you still with me )I know its to late to change and I really don't mean to upset or offend the organisers who have done a marvelous job but I felt I had to ask what was you thinking of:P

Honestly do not know, but I suppose whichever route someone would not be happy? You passing it onto the Midlands, may have upset the Wales members. Or they may be upset already.

I note not all handovers are on the Forum and, whilst not connected with the organising of it, I intend to go and thought others might like to? For me a Thursday night is difficult but I don't suppose we could do it all at weekends?

Stag is beginning to take over.

My 3yo daughter is rather "into" the soft toy scene, I took her along to the Northants handover and even she wasn't remotely interested. I really can't understand why so many middle - later aged people can get quite so enthused over a stuffed toy, each to their own I suppose.

Stuff the toy if you excuse the pun, its just another excuse and even her indoors wants to come along!

I could walk to the handover point - its that close, but given the Stag option - no contest - never did like walking.

Did feel a little guilty last Sunday though 12 Worcs. SOC Stags all burbling into and out of a lovely National Trust property - just for a coffee break on our way to Sunday lunch! CO2?? Green?? Leave that to Kryten.

I'd settle for the stick Phil, I've seen people being worryingly enthusiastic over the toy

All - Just wanted to bring this to the top again, Thursday night 7.00 pm at the Stone Manor Hotel.

Went to the Warwickshire hand-over to Worcestershire Saturday in Stratford on Avon and it was a great day obviously helped by the weather. Total of 11 Stags left Stratford and made a scenic run through the country side to Norton, Nr Evesham for lunch and a sherbet.

Well done to all those involved, especially those who made the arrangements.

                              Photo attached (SOCrates in hiding)

So if you can make The Stone Manor, on the Bromsgrove Road about 2.5 miles ouit of Kidderminster, DY10 4PJ- give it a go!
