Carburettor choke return spring - wanted

    Help.
I took my Stromberg carbs off to get to the water pump and it looks like the Garage Goblins have paid me a visit.
I've lost the spring that closes the choke disc on the LH carb - it must've fallen off when lifting the assy onto the bench.
It doesn't look like they are available as a separate item - does anyone have a spare I can buy?
Or know where I can source one.
    Thanks
    Richard

bearing in mind that the choke spring cannot just fall off the assembled cold start mechanism I would suggest that it is either an early choke setup designed to work only with the solid core choke cables or it wasn't reinstalled after the last time it was taken apart

Also a call to Burlen may be able to source the same part direct from the UK but without the EU "sulking" taxes applied

Burlen aren’t listing the spring, although a similar s.u. Spring that they do list may suffice.

SC parts list the spring (item 70 part number 364608) but out of stock

I know it was there originally because I carefully took the nut and lever assembly off so I could lift the carbs away without taking the cables apart.
I remember thinking ‘careful with that spring’
          Ah well.

          I’ll try Burlen.

Burlen website doesn't list a lot of the bits that they sell Julian.

Never mind…. Marshman to the rescue….

If I offered a spring, it would render me springless on a complete carb set.

only new source I could find was Sweden.

As long as it isn't hiding in the inlet manifold.

                            Fact Check:

If you are in UK and buy something from an EU country, there are no EU taxes applied. Any tax or duties are levied by UK HMRC upon arrival in the UK. Before Brexit, VAT was more or less the same in all EU countries including UK, so the countries decided to drop all the messing about with deducting and applying VAT and thus avoid all the admistration that went with it. So before Brexit you would have paid French, German Italian or whatever VAT at source, but none in the UK.

Post Brexit, you don't pay EU VAT, but you do pay UK VAT to HMRC. Because the streamlining of this process within the EU no longer applies, the HMRC may also have handling fees. All of these taxes, duties, fees etc. are levied by the UK, not the EU, so rejoice in the money that you are giving to the UK government to spend wisely in the interests of the UK!
                            The answer isn't 42, it's 1/137
