    Creases in hood fabric

I have a couple of creases in my hood that are annoying me, they are not from folding it in the car but were there from the 3+ years I had it stored in my attic prior to installation. I tried the wet and leave in the sun treatment, waved a steam iron over them but they persist.. I was thinking of getting a clothes steamer or perhaps water and a hair dryer.. any other ideas?

Maybe try adding pressure if you can, as well as the hot moisture approach you've tried. That's the principle of ironing things: steam + pressure. Easier said than done with the roof in situ, though.

Get some pressure on by holding a piece of flat wood behind while steam ironing on top.

Sounds a plan, I assume with a tea towel or something over the hood material?

Probably best as a precaution, but I applied the iron straight to the cover as my iron doesn't seem to get hot enough.
