I've just received a new engine bay bulkhead pad from Robsport - part 910905. It seems a lot lighter and thinner than the original. Has anyone fitted one and is it as effective at keeping engine noise and heat out of the cabin?
I decided not to install the internal and engine bay pads I had bought because of what I considered to be poor quality. They are only a light foam with a skin of a plastic material on the outside. Instead in the engine bay I fitted a layer of Dynamite Superlite noise insulation with a layer of ceramic Heatmat on top. For the interior I used Dynamite Superlite. All bought from Car Builder Solutions. Not concours bu I am very pleased with the result.
