Head light bowls

Did the Stag use these type of head light bowls? My Fed. '71 have them, but my Fed. May '71 does not. I've been told Dolomites used them and Triumph 2000s used them. Since they don't have the back. LED head lights fit in them without modifying. I'm in California and the LED's have are DOT approved. If I try and install my LED head lights in the sealed/ enclosed bowl, I have to cut the back off.

If the price is right, I'd like to buy 4, else, I'll cut the back of the ones I have.

The Stag didn't use them, they were used on the Sprint, but they will fit the Stag

No, they had a complete metal bowl.
Which LED did you get. ?

Those are for sealed beam units. They may also work for an LED conversion if thats the question.

My LED's from "Classic Car LED's Ltd" fit into the bowls without any problems. They work well too.

The backs of them prevent them sitting in the sealed bowls but they fit in the open type.

Here a photo of them in my Feb '71. I think all Fed. Stags had sealed beam, GE branded, head lights.

I need to add LEDs to my May '71.

I think this type of bowl was fitted at the factory maybe by mistake, but who knows.
