Hi All, I am planning to use a layer of Dynamat as recommended by Richard, however over the top of this I was thinking of the felt layer, Has anyone used a set from these guys Triumph Stag Underlay & Sound Deadening Set Handmade to Order (techautos.co.uk)

Chris. It looks very thin for sound, or heat insulation. The underlay always stitched on to decent carpet mats would be much more effective I reckon, and I have never seen them wear from rubbing against the floor!

The dynamat is a great alternative to the now very brittle OE anti drum panels.

I generally find that the VW crowd know a thing or too about perforated ear drums
so suppliers like this come up with a lot of interesting alternatives to the OE product. One that doesn't retail moisture is always going to be a bonus. If the link doesn't work go to the website and search "sound"
