    Gearbox crossmember fixing?

Just to check, I'm fitting a J-type overdrive gearbox in place of the old auto. Are the studs that fix the crossmember to the floor of the car the same length? On the 2000/2500 saloons, the J-type used a longer stud and spacer to lower the crossmember to suit the J-type but I don't find any reference to an alternative stud for the Stag.

    Thanks for any help!

If it helps you Richard, the ZF fits on the studs that the j type came off

I've got a set of the J Type stud mounts spare Richard, the studs are 1 1/4" long from base of each plate

      Cheers

The Tate & Lewis kit used longer bolts & a 1/2” spacer.
The Triumph original was a welded sub assembly with a strap across the top of the bolts to stop them turning…. All stag variants had the same length afaiaa.

On some cars, the T&L spacers causes the original cooling fan to be too close to the radiator support panel….because of the installation angle change.

The welded strap is a boon for lone working though.
