Just spent a frustrating few hours yesterday trying to re-fit the trim on my Tonnau..I had been putting this off for over a year as I remembered it from the rebuild!
Much cursing until I dropped it, went to bed and the next morning thought about it. I had it fitted but my attempts had damaged and dinged it especially on one side.. Luckily I had another set of trim so this time I approached it in a different way and I think this may help others cos its a $#!* job.
First I went over the whole trim and checked with a clip how wide and deep the trim was where the clips fit. Most were not going to hold. I first got a clip disk inside the trim and ran it up and down the whole length making sure that the height of the trim was sufficient to allow the clip to fully insert, but not so high that once inside it was so sloppy that it would fall out, at the same time I was adjusting the width so that it was tight enough to allow the clip to click in but not fall out again. I used a stiff scraping tool to lever the edges up, carefully tapped with a body hammer to move them down and squeezed in a vice to reduce the width. drawing shows what I am trying to talk about.. I found that "only just" being able to slide the clip all the way inside the trim was the perfect height.

When it came to installing I used a bar clamp right over each clip and squeezed it until it clicked in, I started at the corner as that is the one that has to be spot on.

Finally done, the reason? as a previous post the tonnau and squab material had faded badly after only 2 years, but Aldridge sent me replacement tonnau and rear seat squab, I did the seat squab and just had to do the tonnau!! you can see the difference here.
