Quick question guys though I may have answered this myself.
I am replacing my bashed up oil cooler, partly because it was a little bit damp with atf around the connection pipes which I could not tighten more than they already was.
On removal there were only rubber mounting bobbins at one end of the cooler, the other end at the connection pipes were fixed with nuts and bolts.
I often refer to the online Rimmer's catalogue because of the ease of using pictures and parts. On there it says that 4 rubber bobbins are required. I thought this made sense. So I bought 4 with a new cooler..
Can I get this to fit...not a chance and if I forced it then the pipes will not reach the cooler.
So now looking in the rom I can only see two bobbins. So should I fit the cooler with nuts and bolts one end and bobbins at the other end ?
If I use bobbins at both ends I will need to replace the pipes as they will not reach otherwise.
I am a little hesitant and thought best to ask here because I understand that not using bobbins can cause the cooler to fracture.
TIA Alan
