    Stag Radio panel fascia

I am fitting a modern retro style radio in my mark 2, however the last owner had fitted a modern radio and butchered the aperture - is anyone aware of a panel that can be purchased to install a smaller set please

I'm not sure if this helps, but I have used one of these https://www.tadpoleradios.co.uk/RadioAccessories.aspx and it worked out well ... I also needed a mounting sleeve from Halfords

Robsport sell one but it may need the standard stag aperture, easy to make one up if the radio is the type that is retained by the removal of the knobs. Phil’s pictures above show the type of thing
Paul - 3 projects, 1 breaker - garage built and housing 2 white Stags. One runs, one doesn't

Not sure if you are aware, but the aperture in the Stag dash is larger by design. It was to accept the then popular 8-track tape units. Standard DIN units will not fit without an adapter. These were developed over 20 years ago to overcome this problem:

Triumph Stag, Spitfire, TR6, TR7, GT6, Vitesse, Herald Parts and Spares Specialists

Some wooden dash restorers offer a panel with a smaller DIN sized aperture.

I have a hole adapter that fits over the wood fnarr and is held in place by the 4 controls that are around it.

Flat piece of metal, painted black and looks ok

This is the kind of thing but with the ICE cage fitted also

it is, the date stamp on that image is 5 May... or is it May 5th 2018.

mind you, my stag has done as many miles as your Paul over the last 6 weeks

I had my Stag for two weeks before I even found that it had a radio. Hidden behind a neat wooden cover that opens when you press the secret button.

I had my stag a decade before I realised that the steering column extended and retracted as will as going up and down
