A very interesting company, TRW, if you're interested in the history of technology - originally Thompson Ramo Wooldridge, Inc. Ramo Woolridge developed the RW-300, one of the first all-transistor computers for industrial control systems like power generating plant, and Simon Ramo himself was a vocal advocate for development of microelectronics in the post-war era as would later be be needed for early space vehicles and guided weapons.
Pretty sure they used to be owned by Lockheed, now part of ZF. If I see TRW I usually think of them as high quality
Lucas; Lucas varity ; Lucas trw; trw ; ZF.
dunno how they got their hands on Lockheed… probably some dodgy pension deal. Lucas pension was a problematic situation.
all to do with lcc sourcing hardware & clever code writing for vehicle systems no one (who can drive) really needs…. But still going on a brand new site close to the m42 Solihull….. & south Germany zf transmission.
The old site (not that old) was out of town , but very valuable for housing….so that’s what it is now.
anyway a resleeved Lockheed master cylinder is the way to go.
why pay £140 for a safety critical item that leaks shortly after the warranty is out?
