    Loss of power under acceleration

I have a MkII Automatic and was out for a run today in the glorious sunshine.

Travelling on a fastish B road doing about 50mph I found that the engine lost power as I tried to (gently) accelerate. It did this several times before I pulled over. Drove away and everything seemed OK.

Later on in the drive the engine stalled as a I slowed to a stop at a roundabout. It was a bit troublesome to restart but did after a few attempts.

It's not done either of these things before and I've no idea if they're related.

Any help or suggestions much appreciated.

    Martin

HI,Change your fuel filter and check condition of points in fuel filter first . then if problem persists check float level settings.Mine used to stall every time i braked at traffic lights and rounabouts and it turned out to be incorect float level settings.Regards Tony.
