    Oil Pressure Relief Valve Leak

Hi All. Could somebody please confirm my assumption. I have an oil leak coming from the oil pressure relief valve locating plug. Am I correct in thinking that I can charge the locating plug seal without having to drain the oil and removing the oil pump
    Many thanks

You don’t need to drain the oil and you may not have to remove the pump - it’s possible to pull the split pin and remove the PRV to change the seal. It’s all a bit fiddly around there, not much room to get hands and tools in!

when you get it out weld a half washer on the cap, makes it a lot easier next time

Often oil drips from the PRV, but the leak can be from higher up on the engine….

One way to get the disc out is to disconnect the coil & crank for a second or so, it’ll fly out…. Together with a bit of oil. Catch it in a bucket.
