    exhaust valves for unleaded fuel

    Hello,

I am a bit confused as Rimmerbros. advertize their TR7 exhaust valves (part no. 155524) as fit for unleaded fuel and usable in a Stag, too. When I asked they replied that they are not stainless steel though.

In my cellar I happen to have some TR7 parts. Amongst them are exhaust valves which are not magnetic - thus stainless steel? Were such ss-valves made? Which ones have you built in?

Kind regards, Dieter - from Germany.

If you look at the top side of the valve, an original item should have the part number 155524VL stamped on it.

They were/are hardened, but I don't know if this means they are stainless. They are the ones to use in an unleaded Stag engine.

When I rebuilt my heads I bought stainless steel exhaust valves from Hart Racing Services (HRS) suitable for unleaded.
