You can't get more British than this

Taken this morning at a Cars and Coffee meetup in San Jose, California. Martin is a British expat living here in San Jose, California. Most British expats come to San Jose as hi-tech workers. However, Martin came over here as a mechanic who could work on British cars. His mum found an ad in a local British newspaper. Martin's son found a non-running Stag out of Florida and got it shipped to California and got it running in under three weeks. Mine's the yellow Stag.

From my time as an ex-pat in Texas I seem to remember lots of jokes about the terrible British workmanship and Lucas Prince of Darkness ... happy days though

My standard reply to anyones comment on my accent (still proudly British after 35 years) is that I dont have an accent, its all of them that have the accent!
