When I turn the light switch to sidelights there is nothing happening,no side lights numberplate lights or dash lights. If I turn the switch further to headlights they are working . I have checked the two fuses for the sidelights which are ok. I am thinking it may be a faulty light switch. Is there an easy way to check this? Has anybody had a similar problem?

With a voltmeter - look for voltage between the red cable on the back of the switch and earth with the switch in the sidelights position. If none, then the switch is at fault.
Hope the attached wiring diagram helps.

When you say “when I turn to headlights they are working” do you mean the headlights are working or the sidelights are working? If only headlights then the other possibility is that the plug in the column loom is faulty, if the sidelights do come on with headlights then that’s likely the switch itself.Terry Hunt, Wilmington Delaware
