Making speaker inserts for rear cubby holes

Hi all, my first post as a relatively new stag owner. (Absolutely loving the car…)

I have installed front speakers and a subwoofer which sound amazing… but the bosses (who are 5 and 10) and demanding also to hear the music as well as the v8. I have run cable to the rear cubbies but EJ Wards (and for that matter everyone else) no longer stock the speaker inserts.

Might anyone else have the dimensions for these as I assume I can probably make fairly easily with MDF and some vinyl?

    many thanks in advance.

Why not have a go at making your own?
If you open up the cubby holes you'll see that the pockets are held on to the cubby with a set of grips.
I made mine with hardboard to the same shape and cut an oval to match the 3-way speakers I bought from the auction site.
It has taken a few iterations to get the right way to stick the 2 together (PVA onto cork then tiger seal to the speaker frame)
They sound good when set up to boost the bass and centred just towards the rear.

Note, I also have twin 4" speakers in the front grill instead of a single7" - gives me a left and right option.

What colour interior do you have?
