    Uprated head gaskets.

Anyone have the part numbers & suppliers of the Cometic Stag head gaskets.

Weren’t these an item being offered by tony hart… or enginuity?

Recall they were £250 a pair.

Cometic are a responsive company… good but not cheap.

    Try contacting Cometic direct?

these generic unbranded gaskets are the ones to avoid.

Check the amount of gasket material around the rear most fire ring.. yep that is going to last about 3 minutes before is blows.

              Utter rubbish

Admittedly not for a triumph, but Recently received production tooling costs for cylinder head gaskets ($ 140,000) that exceeded the production tooling prices of a cylinder head!

Made a handful of Cometic gaskets seem cheap!

Cometic prototypes were also quicker & cheaper…. Strange times.

As you can see the difference on a more expensive head gasket. It only has required holes it will stop the erosion on the cylinder head.

Having used this manufacturer in my day job… I would generally recommend them.

                          Not cheap though.

Do they work well on stags?

who stocks Cometic for stags ?

Genuine question, why are there head gaskets out in the market place that has unnecessary holes in them ?

Cometic head gaskets seem like a non brainer if you ever need to change your head gaskets. High upfront costs but cheaper in long run if these are as good as they say they are.

Genuine question, has cylinder head erosion from the blind hole ever actually caused an issue?
