Wiper arm springs

Hi folks.
my drivers side wiper arm has lost most of its springyness. Means the wiper isnt really push hard onto the screen. Anyone managed to find replacement springs that work? And managed to replace them?

I have never heard of one of those springs going weak. Perhaps the arm "Hinges" need lubricating, if it isn't a rude suggestion!

Does seem a little strange. Hinges are free. Actually solved the issue this afternoon. The springs Actually have 2 settings. They are labelled + and -. I moved the spring to + and all good.

you can see the + and - by my lower finger..it corresponds to the 2 notches below where the spring is attached. The left hand notch, next to the + being a slightly higher stretching the spring compared to the right notch below - which slightly less stretches the spring.

Ps . I think this forum is a must for stag owners , there so much to learned from so many members. It's a shame that so many club members ignore this forum and it's great source of free info,

I thought I had been missing something with this, but I have just been and checked the ones fitted on my Stag, plus my spare set. All original, and only one spring setting.

Both mine are exactly the same as that, with one setting, but not so rusty!

just checked mine there are not the same as that photo, maybe they have been replaced at sometime

mine are the same as dave's
