Replacing the Roof Mohair possible problem?

I have slowly removed the existing roof and equally slowly removed all the old contact adhesive, everything seems to be in good order, the header rail in nice shape, but at the other end the hoop that has the rear latch on it, where the raer window will attach... the near side seems to sit much higher than the drivers side, I cant make my mind up if its bent or just ill-adjusted, it seems to be low where it connects to the frame bracket certainly lower than the other side for sure, is there a method of raising the bracket, there appears to be a couple of mounting bolts but so far I have not managed to get any movement.
    Any assistance much appreciated

Remove the rear hoop, and lay it on the floor. If it's not level then it is twisted, probably because the spot welds have failed. If it is level on the floor, refit it and lock up the 3 bolts each side when it is level.

Thanks for that just took it off and it was as bent as a a boomerang, I straightened it under the bumper using the towbar as a fulcrum...very scientific..worked very well mind!

This means you've earned your Artful Bodger badge - sew it on your overalls for everyone to see.

Make sure you use a heavy duty, high temperature adhesive when fitting the soft trim and the hood cover to the frame.

Trim Fix spray is ok although perhaps not for application while the hood is on the car!

It claims suitable up to 110C.

This stuff I have found to be quite good in many circumstances such as RR headliners

Strong and resistant to higher temperatures

This one is brushable and even more resistant to temperature

So..i have stripped the old roof off and refitted new webbing together with the velcro above the drivers passenger window, Its obvious where the roof fits to the 2 more forward hoops, them first, or start on the rear (now carefully...ahem) straightened

                        B post first.
                        Then rear rail.
                        then front rail.
                        then sides above windows.
                        hoops last
