    Heater star washer size?

I'm trying to refit the heater in my car and notice that a couple of the starlock washers that stop the flaps coming out are missing. They seem to be NSS and so I'll have to buy some generic ones - does anyone know the size? The heater is not close to me right now otherwise I'd measure the spindles.....

The rods on which the flaps hinge are 0.250” ( 1/4” ) diameter, the control rods ( bent pieces of wire ) are 0.095” ( 3/32” ) diameter.

            Wow great help!

I remember thinking better not loose the star washers…. I’ll never find those if I do

btw on my heater rebuild I used 5/32 shaft collars on the control rods where I could - similar to these https://www.raptorsupplies.com/pd/climax-metal/c-015-bo, and 1/4 inch nylon washers on the hinge rods. This took some of the slop and rattles out of the system.

That sounds like a good idea but my priority is to get the car back on the road, so heater improvements are absolutely on the roundtoit list!

Very sensible if you've got a serviceable unit - mine was in a horrendous state, so it had to come out for a complete rebuild.
