This one was on eBay a few months back - clearly fraudulent as it has two reg numbers for a start. One 494S relates to a blue car the other 949S does not exist.

I queried last time he was advertising it and got no reply

I asked the seller the question:

"Can you explain why front and rear number plates are for different cars?"

and he replied

"Really"

So that's cleared that one up then..

I would strongly recommend against contacting these folk. report and let ebay do its thing.

criminals like this are rarely kind and considerate people, it doesn't take much effort to get your address details etc

Too late to worry about that. Ebay security is probably tighter than SOC. Do a search on the ebay number and it brings you straight to this thread..

I think you misunderstood me. What I meant was, when you have arrived at this thread (as you say, via google) , then working out real identities of posters here, is probably easier than cracking Ebay Identities. So if this guy wants to find out who RTS is, for example, that is relatively easy to find out from examining posts on this platform.
