Water pump help

Being new to posting I realise I may not be doing things correctly. I am trying to contact Richardthestag regarding my water pump issues. I have PM him, but no reply. Is it necessary to notify him somehow that I have sent a PM?

in case you are wondering, I have managed to break the 12 vane cast iron impeller when trying to drift the main shaft out.

sorry about that Alan, chaotic weekend which started with me seeing Bad Manners at Pennfest and just escalated from there.

get another impellor / pump from Tony and they are not difficult to build up. biggest issue is the main seal quality for which varies greatly.

After destroying two impellors. I now use a press and support the base of the impellor and apply lots of plus gas

A vice doesn’t support a stuck impellor well enough… often break if you try a stuck impellor.

A suitable tube works…. But the thread of the bolt doesn’t take the load of a stuck impellor.
Have to move the shaft directly.

Soaking immersed helps. Seems more effective if inverted aka upside down.

i broke one - then ordered a ‘new’ refurbished one with bearings and all , installed it and it worked - impellers are so fragile
